Wow, A-Trak‘s remix of Charlotte Gainsbourg is the magic we didn’t know we needed today, but now we won’t be able to live without it. First of all, no one expected A-Trak to be remixing an adult contemporary pop songstress and critically acclaimed actress, but his totally surprising edit of “Sylvia Says” is smooth, cinematic goodness with some electro house stylings mixed in, reminiscent of the beloved bloghaus era. Highly complex and instrumental in sound design but elegantly simple in its progression, this remix is like butter melting on a hot biscuit with a little dash of funk masterfully sprinkled in — it’s going on repeat.
