Manics Music Sounds Better With You
Popgang label founders, Manics, return with two new original covers of the classic “Music Sounds Better With You” by Stardust. The two track EP features a slowed down, daytime disco rendition along with a peak time Nu Disco club cut. No samples we’re used in the making of these songs.
Daft Punk
GLBTM (Studio Outtakes)
Daft Punk have been slowly unveiling their 10th Anniversary release of Random Access Memories, which is due out in its entirety on May 12. The first glimpse they gave was “The Writing of Fragments of Time” and now they’re providing us another goodie titled “GLBTM (Studio Outtakes).”
The recording explores a completely unique, never before heard take on their hit single, “Give Life Back To Music.” All kinds of classical and analog instruments are introduced to “GLBTM” breathing new life into the original version. The beauty of Daft Punk’s music has stretched far beyond the limits of dance music and is as evident as ever on this studio outtake rendition.
While we’ve just seen Thomas Bangalter venture off into deep classical waters on his latest project, it’s refreshing to hear something more in line with the Daft Punk sound we all crave.
