Sade’s “Flower of the Universe” is here

Sade’s long-awaited contribution to A Wrinkle In Time’s soundtrack is here. It’s called “Flower of the Universe,” and it features production from No I.D., who previewed the track on his Twitter earlier today. The song fits neatly into the pantheon of Sade, a silkily ethereal and all-encompassing lullaby of sorts. Listen to it below.

“Flower of the Universe” is Sade’s first new song since 2010’s Soldier of Love. “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway,” director Ava DuVernay said, regarding Sade’s appearance on the Wrinkle soundtrack. “She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget.”
