While adidas Sambas have been garnering all the headlines lately, the world-famous brand’s latest collaboration is dressing up a pair of its timeless Superstar silhouette. The latest partnership comes courtesy of Bloody Angle, a Tokyo-based vinyl café whose eclectic taste in music trickles down to its extremely unique shoes.

The predominantly black shoe is highlighted by bright red and light purple accents added to the inner walls, stripes, and heels. To say this take on the Superstar is unorthodox would be an understatement. As a way of acknowledging Bloody Angle’s affinity for vinyl, the shoe’s upper features a pleated synthetic leather pattern that is meant to evoke the inimitable look of a literal record. On top of that, the shoe has no laces, making them incredibly unique and easy to slip into.

This isn’t the first time these classic kicks have been reimagined without shoestrings. Just a couple of years ago, adidas released a pair of standard-colored, Run DMC-inspired Superstars as a nod to the pioneering rap group’s ‘80s-era fashion statement, but those were still more conservative than this latest collab. The new vinyl-inspired Superstars are fittingly finished off with red Bloody Angle branding and a record-shaped hangtag.

Whether you’re a record collector or a sneakerhead, you’re bound to have some strong feelings toward this upcoming collaboration. You can find the joint effort on atmos Tokyo’s site beginning June 16, where you will have the chance to purchase a pair via lottery for ¥17,600 (~$131).

Beyonce, 38, has now released stunning new images of herself rocking some of the collection and they were shared on the IVY PARK Instagram page.

The mom of three had millions in awe as she wowed in the photos and videos which have since gone viral on the Internet.

They’ve also released a new N.E.R.D colorway of the adidas originals x Human Made collaborative NMD Hu sneaker, which features the lettering “Y.O.U.” on the right sneaker and “N.E.R.D” on the left sneaker. The collection will be used on the band’s tour and in their upcoming videos. Overall, the pieces do a good job representing the longtime style of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and the rest of the N.E.R.D crew.

On the hit list this week is a decent mix of ridiculously clean silhouettes featuring unique designs in very wearable hues. Taking out the top spot is Adidas’ EQT Support Ultra PK in white which provides a very cool alternative to the usual NMD and Ultraboost models.

Not to be left out of the game is Nike who are doing bold things with the re-interpretation of two of their most popular sneaker designs – the Sock Dart and Air Force 1.

Filling out the rest of the hottest drops from the week are New Balance with a bleached variant of their 580 model and Asics with two colourways of their Gel Kayano and Gel Respector sneakers.

Not to be left out of the game are Puma who have teamed up with Staple Design for a fresh take on their popular Blaze of Glory silhouette.

Nike are also resurrecting a popular item in yet anothe rSock Dart variation which now takes the premium route with new materials.

Closing things out nicely is independent sneaker maker Represent who have served up a very cool high top which borrows design cues from some of the most popular silhouettes today before crafting them in Portugal. Talk about unique.
