JEREMY ZUCKER FT. BLACKBEAR – TALK IS OVERRATED (MANILA KILLA REMIX)

Manila Killa releases his official remix of talk is overrated by Jeremy Zuker featuring blackbear. It’s a sparkly rendition to the original, adding twinkling bells to the hook. This creates a soft contrast between blackbear’s R&B vocals and the main section of the story.

The single is perfect for easy listening, fishing, board game night, inputing data, pregames serving Brownies and Lemonade, snow storms, adding sprinkling to ice cream, singing in the rain, and eating right.

BOLIER FT. ROYA – ONE OF THEM NIGHTS

Boiler releases One Of Them Nights featuring Roya. I’m loving the dancehall vocals on this in front of a minimal soca beat. “Ain’t nobody do it the way that we DO, everybody watching as we come THROUGH.” The cadence of those lyrics have been stuck in my head for the day. This song is perfect for the club, car rides, late night, or pregames. Any party or elevation scenario as Roya’s vocals really take the energy up. Boiler does a nice job in producing a dynamic drum arrangement behind the vocals to match the energy harmony.

Roya has some sass behind her, creating an authentic, dancefloor vibe. The pop spin on the track really makes this perfect for remixing, seeing as Boiler has already released a remix of his own.

Bolier is a Dutch DJ and producer who also goes by BLR. He used to be a trance producer; however, he’s been changing his production styles with the times. He’s got many genre alter egos.

We’ve still not found out very much about the secretive Swedish act RHEYA since their “Franchise” single earlier in the year, so the only thing we still know for sure is that they’re a damn fine band/person/whatever.

Today RHEYA has unveiled the video for “When No One Else Is Around”, featuring a couple (Cecilie Creutsberg and Christoffer Viby) in the throes of a relationship starting to head south.

Combining choppy riffs with the daydreaming sound of early Ride, the track is a swell of melancholia and heartbreak – and the accompanying visuals from directors Isabelle Creutsberg and Simon Nielsen-Englyst match the song’s tone perfectly.

Yeeeeeeeees! Tim aka Elephante is back with a new single and it’s fire! The track is called “Come Back For You” feat. Matluck and it marks a new chapter for the young LA based producer, who’s come along way after his debut album release. After pressing play, you’re met with some awesome acoustic guitar that drives its way through the track like a boss. The drop presents itself with a combo of phat bass, trappy beats and some serious brass chunks to give “Come Back For You” a nice clubby attitude.

Cross Your Mind (Jenaux Remix)

Jenaux recently released his take on Wingtip’s “Cross Your Mind”. Going with a chillout vibe with funky elements, the NYC based producer goes in a different, but very refreshing downtempo direction with this track. Particularly the chorus/drop has a very sweet sound, playing with the tracks brass parts to create a cool effect. The smoothness factor on this one breaks the scale, but that’s exactly what I need mid-week. Hope you enjoy this one just as much as I do!

Not so lost anymore, Lost Kings reappear with a remix for Marshmello’s hit single “Silence”. With a perfect balance of energy and emotions, the duo continue where they left off. Their unique sound design perfectly blends with the recognisable parts of the original mix, creating a fresh vibes to a track you thought you knew. Only Girl-Stone

London’s Only Girl has impressed us for years with her charmingly soulful vocals, and she is impressing us again with her new single, “Stone”. The song is one produced by previous collaborator JM∆C, and, here, he crafts a stripped-down, percussion-less foundation of synths and piano that allows Only Girl to display the full potential of her marvelous vocal tone.

Only Girl explains that the track embodies “that moment when you let someone in, after resisting the feelings that are growing, and finally allow yourself to fall in love”. If you listen closely, you’ll hear birds chirping throughout the song, a subtle feature that’s been included because the song was written in her birdsong-filled garden studio, and we appreciate the artistic inclusion, for sure.

Millie Turner – Eyes On You

Though pop dominates the music landscape, UK singer-songwriter Millie Turner has chosen to forego the usual aspirations of those her age and to make folk-inspired sound, instead. They still stun, however, and, with Millie’s gorgeous vocals and the delicate, undulating flow on her latest single “Eyes on You”, you can consider us transfixed, for sure. Bearcubs requires little foreword on the site, as we have delved into his vocal-backed electronic a few times before. Today, after a considerable hiatus, he’s back with a debut album announcement and an introductory single entitled “Do You Feel”, and, given its feature here, we absolutely vibe with it a lot.

Staying consistent with his style, the UK talent adds a chilled undertone here, utilizing break-filled patterns, and lush, accented vocals. The single has got us thrilled for more work from him, and we should be provided with several new releases in the weeks to come. For now, listen to this below.

Per The FADER, Kailee Morgue went viral from a demo, and, now, she’s signed to Republic Records. It’s not really an atypical case, but it is an awesome one, and it’s cool to see she’s been successful so far. With “Medusa”, that track that caught attention, we have a modern-sounding, chill bit of indie and electronic-pop, and, while it does not reinvent any wheel(s), it does set the groundwork for a prosperous career to (maybe) come. My favourite Dutch duo, The Him, are back with a new single called “Everybody Hurts” feat. Ivy Adara. Sticking to their 6-week release plan they continue to push and spin out some amazing music, putting their song writing and producing skills to the test. This is also why they continue to impress me, managing to be consistant and drop one earworm after the other. “Everybody Hurts” is an EDM crossover between future bass and pop, with a haunting ad lib and a vocal performance to match…beautiful, clean and crisp, but able to give you chills as well (in a good way).

Lady Gaga – The Cure (Young Bombs Remix)

Canadian wonder duo Young Bombs have released their own spin on Lady Gaga’s “The Cure” and turned it into a – Major Lazer meets DJ Snake meets pop music – kind of track. The melody is made utterly catchy thanks to a vocal chop element on the chorus and it doesn’t harm that there’s a distinct tropical flavour to be picked up as well. Hopefully this remix will be your own personal cure to heal you from the hard facing facts that it’s just Tuesday and there’s still way too many days until the weekend.
