However the real talking point of the look is her Alexander McQueen Arc sock boots that are made from a tight-fighting black knit and feature a sculptural silver-finished heel. Hayek is married to François-Henri Pinaut, the chairman and CEO of Kering, and frequently selects looks from Gucci, Alexander McQueen and their stablemates at the luxury conglomerate. So it’s no surprise to see her sporting McQueen’s hero shoe for the season.

The spring 2023 shows were awash with a wide range of sculptural, surrealist footwear choices. From Loewe’s court heels adorned with deflated balloons to Moschino’s pumps resembling blow-up pool floats – as well as JW Anderson’s viral frog slippers in collaboration with Wellipets – there’s no shortage of wacky styles of shoes for fashion enthusiasts.

Although in the UK we are still experiencing cooler temperatures, Hayek’s most recent outfit, which is festooned in florals, signals the much-anticipated shift towards spring styling. Salma aptly captions her latest carousel post with: “Me waiting for Spring, thank God it’s here!”
