Maple syrup is underutilized and often looked over because of honey and agave. It also gets placed in autumn drinks, but it can be used for so much more. It’s a soft type of sweet that doesn’t linger, and can taste different depending on where it came from.

Ingredients:
1.5oz bourbon or whiskey
0.5oz pure maple syrup
0.5oz fresh lemon juice

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Strain and serve up, garnished with either lemon peel or a cinnamon stick.
