“Waiting for the bus can be an annoying experience,” Rombout Frieling said, who is the founder of the studio by the same name which created the first prototype of what some refer to as a smart bus stop.
The bus stop, which is located in Umea, Sweden, was made to help those commuters who are left out in the cold stay warm while they deal with the harsh winter conditions of the Arctic.
It uses interactive signals such as lights and sounds to make commuters aware of when each bus is approaching so they don’t have to constantly expose themselves to the violents cool winds.
Now, instead, people waiting for the bus can relax in cover of the conditions while they wait at the new station known as the Station of Being.
