Isabel Marant has had a presence in London since 2013 with a standalone store in Mayfair. Last week, it opened a second retail space in so-called Brompton Cross, a new upscale shopping enclave in Chelsea which aims to become the city’s third luxury shopping destination.
The new store occupies a 114 sqm. (1,227 sq.ft.) retail space set across two floors of a newly redeveloped low-rise building. The space is designed by Isabel Marant‘s in-house design team and features a backdrop of whitewashed walls and concrete flooring.
Two large windows allow in floods of natural light and provide passers-by ample views of the store interior. Furnishings and fixtures have been carefully sourced to create a homey atmosphere, and comprise of suspended clothing racks of black steel which correspond with ceiling light fixtures, a wall with chunky shelves, several displays, including some sculptural ones, a large-sized ottoman and potted plants.
Similar to many other Isabel Marant stores, it features a rotating window art installation. The floor upstairs is reserved as storage and office space. The new store carries the full range of Isabel Marant apparel, shoes and accessories, in addition to items from the Isabel Marant Étoile diffusion line.
Isabel Marant is owned by Montefiore Investment.
