Step into Poggio Alla Sala, a luxury hotel in Tuscany where the elegance of a 19th-century villa meets the mystique of the Silk Road

Set amidst the rolling vineyards and age-old cypresses of Tuscany in Italy, the Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala resort has opened its doors, marrying the region’s historical charm with the mystique of the Silk Road. This 19th-century villa, now a luxury boutique hotel, offers a unique retreat that pays homage to cultural diversity and the picturesque Italian countryside.

After a meticulous two-year renovation, the villa, once owned by the noble Bonci-Casuccini family, has been transformed. The restoration honors the villa’s storied past without sacrificing the comfort and sophistication that modern travelers expect. The Noble Villa, dating back to 1895, features hand-restored frescoes that provide a window into Tuscan history, blending perfectly with elegant, modern designs that draw inspiration from the ancient Silk Road, creating a fusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics.

Elegant Accommodations Across Time

boasts 71 rooms and suites divided into nine distinct categories. These range from the cozy Classic Studio to the luxurious Panoramic Tower Suite, which offers 360-degree breathtaking views. The interior design includes travertine carvings, terracotta floors, and handmade brick vaults that echo the architectural heritage of Tuscany. The subtle color palette complements these natural materials, enhancing the sense of place that is so integral to the resort’s character.

Countryside Ethos and Modern Amenities

Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala is not just about luxury accommodations; it’s also a testament to the lifestyle of the Tuscan countryside, intertwined with modern hospitality principles. The communal areas are designed to foster social gatherings and celebrate the agricultural prosperity of the estate’s history. The hotel’s spa, equipped with a state-of-the-art gym and a heated indoor plunge pool, offers treatments that include Ayurvedic practices and oud-scented rituals, using exclusive Sodashi products.

Sustainable Practices and Family-Friendly Features
Embracing sustainability, the resort operates without single-use plastics and includes amenities like electric car charging stations and uses well water for irrigation. Solar panels, to be installed next season, will further enhance the resort’s self-sufficiency. The family-friendly aspect is rounded out with three outdoor pools, including a main pool, an adults-only pool, and a kids’ pool, alongside a creatively designed kids club.

A Gastronomic Journey Along the Silk Road
The culinary experience at Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala is an adventure in itself, led by Chef Ronen Dovrat Bloch, a Le Cordon Bleu Master. The on-site restaurant, La Via Della Seta, skillfully combines Oriental and Italian flavors, serving dishes like Pulpo with Harissa and Acquerello Risotto with a unique Tuscan twist. The Marco Polo Bar, overlooking the valley towards Montepulciano, offers a cocktail menu inspired by the diverse cultures along the Silk Road, providing a perfect blend of history, flavor, and luxury.

As it welcomes guests for its first full season, Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala stands as a beacon of refined design, historical preservation, and culinary excellence. This resort is more than just a place to stay; it is an experience that weaves the rich tapestry of the past with the vibrant thread of the present, making every visit uniquely memorable.
