Odera Tinos, the first five-star hotel on the island, offers a perfect blend of modern luxury and authentic Cycladic charm in a stunning beachfront location

Lately, one of the most common topics among Greeks and frequent visitors to Greece is the gradual erosion of the quintessential Greek summer. We lament the fading of those authentic moments that have captured our hearts forever. There is deep nostalgia for Cycladic minimalism and the unpretentious charm of traditional Greek holidays.

Thankfully, the luxurious version of this rare authentic summer experience is meticulously preserved and generously offered at the brand-new Odera Tinos, the first five-star hotel on the island. Here, alongside hospitality that reaches the heavens, you are gifted a genuine beachfront Cycladic landscape in the heart of Tinos, paired with inspired architecture and design rooted in pure aesthetics, simplicity, and local tradition. Odera Tinos showcases an exquisite blend of traditional and modern design, crafted by Studio Bonarchi and architect Panos Nikolaidis of TConstructions.

Captivating Cycladic Charm

Arriving at Odera Tinos felt like stepping into a dream. The hotel immediately felt different, a place where modern luxury and authentic charm coexist beautifully. I knew I was about to experience what I had been seeking for some time—Greek summer at its best.

Odera Tinos isn’t just about luxury; it’s about soulful design. Whitewashed stone walls and dovecote-inspired architectural details celebrate Tinos’ renowned craftsmanship.

This is Greek summer 2.0—updated with a touch of modern pampering. Imagine curtains that open automatically to unveil a theatrical view of the entire bay and an unobstructed horizon of the Aegean Sea. Soft sun loungers and a buggy to transport you from and to the beach (though we always walked to capture photos, admire the scenery, and breathe in the scents of local herbs and bushes). A grand carob tree with a thick trunk dominates and becomes the hotel’s landmark, reminiscent of the courtyards of captain’s houses. This majestic tree, set on a beautiful pebble mosaic, became a focal point for my mornings and evenings, changing with the light and evoking a deep sense of tranquility. Every detail reflects the island’s spiritual and cultural heritage, making the space feel both elevated and deeply connected to its surroundings. The serene atmosphere of the hotel’s terrace, adorned with bamboo chairs and marble tables, instantly transported me back to memories of easy breezy evenings at elegant hotel verandas. These are the vacations that linger in the heart long after they’ve ended.

Four Reasons to Love Odera Tinos Even More:

Idolo Spa: For ultimate relaxation, the Idolo Spa at Odera Tinos offers a range of rejuvenating treatments. The highlight for me was the zero-body dry float, a treatment like no other. As I floated above 400 liters of warm water, I felt incredible weightlessness and relaxation, all without getting wet or changing clothes. The peaceful atmosphere, with a hand-painted ceiling over the pool, made the spa beautiful and calming. Every detail was designed to relax and refresh, making it a true sanctuary of peace.

EOS Restaurant: Dining at EOS was a culinary adventure, but the dessert left the most lasting impression. I indulged in a decadent chocolate dessert with caramel sauce and a hint of Greek coffee, and it was an absolute delight. It was a moment of pure indulgence, perfectly crafted by the talented chef Dimitris Skarmoutsos. This dessert, along with other standout dishes like the Organic Tomato Carpaccio and Fresh Grouper “Kakavia,” made my dining experience at EOS unforgettable, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Aegean Sea.

Louiza by Louisa World Boutique: Stumbling upon the Louiza by Louisa store was like discovering a hidden treasure. This boutique offers a beautifully curated selection of Greek-inspired fashion and accessories that perfectly blend local craftsmanship with a modern flair. I found myself captivated by the unique fabrics, prints, and designs that truly embodied the essence of relaxed elegance.

Art Curation: The art at Odera Tinos was more than just decoration; it was an experience. The Odera Art Initiative is a dynamic collection of artworks by Greek and international artists, reflecting the cultural heritage, natural landscape, and resources of Tinos. Curated under the careful direction of Anastasia Sgoumpopoulou and Anastasia Tsoureka Saracaki, the collection showcases a blend of contemporary culture and traditional elements. From the rooms to the outdoor spaces, each artwork creates an immersive artistic experience that enhances the hotel environment.  Every piece tells a story, enriching the tapestry of experiences that make a stay at Odera Tinos truly special. Walking through the hotel, I felt surrounded by a blend of contemporary and traditional art that resonated deeply with the island’s spirit.
