Rolex first moved onto the corner of 5th Avenue and 53rd Street in the 1970s. After an international competition, the Swiss watchmaker is replacing their Manhattan headquarters with a 25-story tower designed by David Chipperfield. The glazed high-rise features a three-dimensional facade and a stacked design, creating outdoor terraces on the outer rim of each tier. Its 165,000-square-foot interior will house office areas for employees and tenants while a new Rolex store will occupy the ground floor. The building has already earned a LEED Platinum rating, the highest degree of environmental and sustainable design, upholding the brand’s tradition of excellence, quality, and precision.
