The Aegean has hundreds of small paradise islands.
Pserimos is one of these peaces of paradise, witch has many advantages of accessibility as it is situated between Kos and Kalymnos.
It takes only 30 minutes by boat from the international airport of Kos. It is also accessed regularly by boat trips 3-4 times a day between Kalymnos and Pserimos.
Traveling time takes about 10 minutes by speed boat and up to 50 minutes by commuting boats. In the summer, dozens of tourist boats arrive from morning to the afternoon from Kos and Kalymnos, bringing tourists for a short visit to swim on its beautiful beaches. Looking at the only community at the depth of a safe cove southwest of the island, you sense the realization of a small graphic paradise.
With its white houses all in rows surrounding the beautiful sandy beach and a land form which rises harmoniously to the sides and the back of the community, you feel peace and tranquility set in from the first moment you arrive on the island’s small jetty. The rocky environment of Pserimos is full of fragrant thyme and mastic trees, while its graphic paths allow for long walks through the wonderful country side.
Other than the crystal blue waters and its beautiful beaches, the island has many attractive and secluded corners. The semi circle configuration of the bay with its houses and taverns all next to each other seem to belong in perfect harmony.
That way you can wish the “friend” you do not know at the tavern “stin igia sou!” (to your good health) as though you are all in the same company.
To the tired holiday maker, the small island of Pserimos is one of the last paradise corners that remain in the Aegean sea. The islands climate is the same as that of all of the Dodecanese islands . It is a Mediterranean climate which is characterized for its dry, sunny summers and its mild winters.
The gentle breezes and winds that blow during the period of July and August make the warm temperatures more bearable. During the months of autumn and winter humidity is quite high. Below we are providing information on the yearly temperatures of the island.
