It’s looking like a cold winter in the fashion capitals this year. 2019 has proven to be a snowy one at the couture shows in Paris, and in New York later this month it’s forecast to be sub-zero.

From January 29 to February 1, Copenhagen Fashion Week delivered a masterclass in winter-ready, easy elegance. After all, the Scandi It girls are known for their laid-back – yet exceptionally functional – approach to fashion. Where else do you get influencers cycling between shows and pairing hiking boots with floaty dresses?

On the catwalk, internationally renowned and highly sought-after brands unveiled their latest collections. Highlights included Cecilie Bahnsen’s sculptural styles, Stine Goya’s colourful designs, By Malene Birger’s cool classics and the ever-wearable Ganni. Newcomer Rotate Birger Christensen, set up by influencers Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Friis Madsen just last year, was another hotly anticipated show.
