1. “VAPOUR TRAILS (KIASMOS REMIX)” – SASHA Sasha’s brilliant, ambient full length “Scene Delete” was heavily influenced by the Icelandic duo Kiasmos, so it’s only fitting that the pair assist on the first edition of the album’s remixes. 2. “MIST” – KIDNAP KID [BIRDS THAT FLY] https://soundcloud.com/kidnap_kid/mist Very few artists within the the confines of house and techno are able to really establish a sound of their own but it appears that Birds That Fly label boss Kidnap Kid is doing just that. Take, for example, his latest release, The Brokenhearted EP which features this b-side, “Mist.” An emotive yet up-front house track that triggers strong feelings of melancholy in an ostensibly progressive manner. 3. “THE GREAT AMAEL (MOFFA X TROXLER LSOS LOVE_GOD REMIX)” – LUCIANO [CADENZA MUSIC] Luciano’s “The Great Amael” is indeed a deep cut from the Cadenza imprint and it’s one that’s worth being unearthed for a couple of fresh remixes – including this deep and dark tribal beast from the production partnership consisting of Phil Moffa and the one and only Seth Troxler! 4. “MOVE ONE” – RAMON TAPIA [TOOLROOM TRAX] Historically speaking, winter dance anthems haven’t been the status quo but Ramon Tapia appears to be changing that – first with last year’s ultra-massive “Yellow Submarine” and possibly again with this chunky dance floor monster he’s calling “Move One.” 5. “INTENTIONS” – TACHES [DESERT HEARTS RECORDS] Head over to Desert Hearts’ SoundCloud page to grab a free download of TÂCHES’ premiere release on the label, Notes On Grains, which features this ethereal chugger simply called, “Intentions.”
