A four-day experience specially designed for autumn 2020 awaits!
Surrounded by incredible natural wonders including the impressive rock cliffs the ‘Towers of Astraka’ and the Gorge of Vikos, Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas is the perfect winter escape. A boutique hotel with a total of just 24 rooms, suites, and villas, it welcomes the fall season by launching ‘Zagori Seclusion Package’, a new four-day experience for autumn 2020 designed to provide the alternative Greek holiday for those looking for a less-trodden route.
Situated in west Zagori, Epirus in north-western Greece, Aristi Mountain Resort is set within a wild and rugged landscape. Hardly on the tourist radar and nestled in a world-class UNESCO national park teeming with wildlife, untouched nature and idyllic enclaves, the resort is well known for its remote location and secluded offering. In light of Covid-19, the resort has launched a new package specifically designed for guests looking to enjoy an out-of-the-way holiday destination that enables them to safely enjoy the natural and historic wonders on their doorstep.
Zagori Seclusion Package
The ‘Zagori Seclusion Package’ has been carefully curated to offer guests a bit of well-deserved escapism. Taking advantage of Zagori’s mountainous region, which is currently under consideration for the UNESCO World Heritage list, visitors are encouraged to learn about their historic surroundings and connect with nature. The four-day experience includes a private guided tour of the most interesting and unique sights in Zagori including the ancient stone arch bridges crossing the Voidomatis River, the abandoned Monastery of Saint Paraskevi which is situated on the edge of the Vikos Gorge – the deepest gorge in the world, and the breathtaking Oxia viewpoint. Travellers will enjoy gentle walks and a picnic-style lunch in one of the most remote regions steeped with Greek mythology and history.
The package also includes water rafting in the crystal clear Voidomatis River – the cleanest river in Europe. An ideal escape and easy ride that is suitable for beginners, guests will start their journey by the Kleidonia Bridge where they will float downstream taking in the beautiful vegetation and dramatic scenery. The experience will conclude with a refreshing dive into the turquoise waters by the Agioi Anargiroi Monastery, which dates back to the 18th century.
As part of this seclusion package, guests are also welcome to unwind at the resort’s tranquil spa. With views out across the woodlands, visitors can experience the calm waters of the pool in a light and airy atmosphere or try a personalised massage followed by a sauna and Jacuzzi to rejuvenate after an action-filled day.
