Roadcase Royale – The Dragon
Nancy Wilson, one of the founding members of the legendary Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame group Heart, has teamed up with former Prince’s New Power Generation band member and R&B singer Liv Warfield to form the soulful, rock super group, Roadcase Royale.
The band will release their debut album, First Things First, on September 22nd via Loud & Proud Records. The album was produced by fellow Roadcase Royale band member Dan Rothchild (Heart) along with the band. The album track, “The Dragon”, is available for streaming below, courtesy of Billboard, who reveal that the song started life as Wilson’s open letter to the late Alice In Chains frontman Layne Staley while he was in the throes of addiction. And in the wake of this year’s suicides by Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington, the message behind the album’s heaviest track is even stronger. Read more at Billboard.com.

This is the album I have always wanted to make. I grew up listening to music from the Rat Pack era, so recording these timeless tunes was a lifelong dream. It was a true honour to collaborate with the same musicians who performed with Frank Sinatra and so many of my favourite artists, in the very same studios where the magic was first made – it was one of the greatest days of my recording career.

Marc Almond – How Can I Be Sure
Shadows And Reflections, the new album from Marc Almond is released today. Featuring sumptuous arrangements of iconic torch songs and 60’s orchestral pop for which he is beloved, as well as two new original compositions, the album features songs written or recorded by artists such as Burt Bacharach, The Action, The Yardbirds, Bobby Darin, Julie Driscoll, Billy Fury and the Young Rascals.
Marc’s deep affection for brilliantly arranged 1960s pop has been prevalent throughout his career and his versions of Jacky, The Days Of Pearly Spencer, Tainted Love, Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart and What! have become much treasured recordings from an artist who can take an old song and bring it new life with impeccable style.
Shadows And Reflections is available in several formats, including signed and limited editions, and can be purchased directly from the Official Marc Almond store.
Marc will also be undertaking a full tour to support and celebrate this release starting on 3 October where he will perform with a full orchestra playing songs from ‘Shadows And Reflections’ as well as other known and lesser known gems from the period. For full tour details see the Live page
