With Alexandria ranking among the top choices of Egyptians for staycations as well as holidays, Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano has taken a strategic and most sensible strategy to develop a beach area right in front of the hotel, in the heart of bustling Alexandria – accessible through a tunnel under the Corniche.

This year, the hotel unveils its newly re-designed and expanded beach area. The Hotel unveils a new infinity pool on its private beach overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and introduces an additional 16 luxurious beach suites to compliments the Hotel’s collection of rooms and suites.

In the heart of the city, the 570 metre (1,870 foot) stretch of beach creates a summer getaway for all the family to connect and create memories but also, hopefully entices other developers for similar projects in the city of Alexandria, where unfortunately, Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano does not have any competitor.

The new – and only – beachside infinity pool in Alexandria will be the talk of the city. The seawater pool is located directly on the beach overlooking the Mediterranean, providing a unique experience available for Hotel guests in the heart of the city.

With an adult and kids pool, all the family will be entertained for the holiday. It also includes a bar inside the pool, 4 cabanas and 50 lounges. Whether dining poolside or sipping a cocktail, the magical sunset view of Alexandria should not be missed.

Revamped Beach Restaurant and Kids Area

This year the Beach Restaurant and Lounge will be revamped with a fresher design to create a truly Alexandrian experience with modern resort feeling. The restaurant offers an à la carte menu focusing on local seafood and international dishes such as sea bass, grouper, crab and mussels delivered fresh from the sea. Alongside, the Lounge creates an ambiance to sip an exotic cocktail and indulge in flavoursome shisha while watching the sunset or socialising with friends enjoying the fresh sea breeze. For younger guests, the kid’s area will offer a kid-friendly space along with recreational activities.

Beach Suites

The new one bedroom or two bedroom suites are designed with ultimate comfort and luxury and appointed with a living room, powder room and large terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, as well as Four Seasons special amenities and access to the private beach.

Although the hotel has not undergone significant renovations since it opened in 2007, the property which designed by Pierre Yves Rochon has been impeccably maintained. With stunning direct sea-views, the hotel boasts indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as one of the finest luxury Spas at a global scale among Four Seasons Hotels. The hotel’s main fine dining restaurant, Byblos, which is currently under renovation, boasts an impeccable array of Lebanese and Syrian dishes in an exquisite authentic Arabian decor.

Part of the DNA of Egyptians, service comes from the heart, the property having maintained the already achieved high standards of customer service soon after opening. Under the current guidance of Mr Shadi Suleman, General Manager, service standards have been boosted but probably most impressive is his fervent efforts to liaise with various private and governmental entities (both local and national) to make improvements in the city will surely attract further investments in the city which is inherently one of the world’s most storied metropolis, once the Riviera destination of Egypt and a major business hub.

The multi-million dollar investment in the San Stefano complex also includes residential units and a shopping mall, which is, unfortunately not even at an upscale level, in striking contrast with the hotel standards. As part of the strategic visionary approach of the hotel owners, the mall will surely become a priority surely being aware that an upgraded retail destination is a major draw for the hotel both staying guests and local patrons who may be attracted by the many F&B and wellness facilities of the hotel.

Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano is owned by Egypt’s leading luxury hotel developer Talaat Moustafa Group which also owns Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh (currently under renovations and expansion) and Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza – the leading luxury hotel in Cairo and one of the best performing hotels of the chain in the Middle East. The group also plans to open the very first Four Seasons Residences (luxury serviced apartments) in Cairo within the next 3 years.
