The Garibaldi is a classic Italian aperitivo drink that traditionally calls on equal parts Campari and fresh orange juice—a simple, two-ingredient formula that begs to be built upon. Here we up the ratio of orange juice to Campari to increase the viscosity and trademark frothiness of the drink and then add a bit of simple syrup to make sure the drink stands up to dilution.

Ingredients

Serving: 1

  • 3 1/2 ounces orange juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces Campari
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed ice

Garnish: orange half wheel

Directions
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Pour into a short collins glass, then garnish with the orange half wheel.
