It is a common question for people: where do I find happiness? I believe I have found the answer.
It can be found at a tiny, magical island in the Gulf of Thailand, called Koh Tao. Being one of the few places on earth where there is a perfect mixture of beautiful white beaches, crystal clear water, great restaurants and fun night clubs, Koh Tao is the perfect destination for young people.
Every year, a variety of those young people from all over the world come together at Koh Tao to celebrate life. During the day, one can enjoy the magnificent diving opportunities the island has to offer, before returning to the beach and have a cocktail at one of the many lounge bars while watching the sunset.
The main street offers multiple choices of restaurants where one can have very luxurious dinner and drinks for less than the equivalent of 8 euros. When the evening falls, most people gather at Cancun Bar, a night club at Sairee Beach, for a long night of drinking, dancing and talking to people from different cultures. Enjoy the local drink Sang Som for just 0,50 euros!
Most people stay for 2 or 3 nights on Koh Tao’s sister islands such as Koh Phi Phi, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. However, everyone grasps the beauty and good vibe of Koh Tao and stays for a week or more.
How do I know Koh Tao is the island of ultimate happiness? For example, it gets you at the moment when you sit in a restaurant at world famous Khao San Road in Bangkok, and you get tears in your eyes just by reminiscing Koh Tao’s great atmosphere. It is the mixture of everything described above and the mutual understanding between the happy people who visit Koh Tao.
