The group’s third album is getting a fancy new re-issue.

Oasis

Oasis’ 1997 album ‘Be Here Now’ is getting the box set treatment, with a frankly huge reissue being released on 7th October.

The follow up to ‘What’s The Story (Morning Glory)’ will be entirely remastered, and there will be two discs of rare tracks, demos and live recordings. A limited edition “Super Deluxe Box Set” will also contain a coffee table book, new sleeve notes and a 12” white label sampler, as well as Oasis merchandise alongside the three disc collection.

Noel Gallagher has shared his ‘rethink’ of the LP’s first single, ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ which will feature in the reissue. He said of the new mix: “As the years went by I’d started to accept that the songs on ‘Be Here Now’ were in fact insanely long… too long! Someone (I can’t remember who) had the idea that we re-visit, re-edit the entire album for posterity’s sake. We got as far as the first track before we couldn’t be arsed anymore and gave up… it does sound fucking mega though!” Modest, as ever.

You can pre-order the box set now and stream Noel’s ‘Rethink’ of ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ below. If you order twenty million quid’s worth, Oasis might even get back together.
