Rolls-Royce is iconic for the tailor-made luxury cars they offer to their clients. The brand epitomizes unabashed opulence, luxury, and comfort, choosing to focus on their unparalleled style rather than off-the-charts performance specs. Their Black Badge treatment is especially stylized, and since its introduction in 2016, it has become one of the most popular packages the luxury brand has to offer, accounting for 27% of their sales. The British automaker seeks to broaden their lineup of Black Badge motorcars more with the debut of the 2022 Black Badge Ghost.

Already labeled as “the purest and most technologically advanced Black Badge motorcar yet”, the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost comes with a wide variety of upgrades. From a stylistic perspective, Rolls-Royce wanted to make a Ghost offering that was agile, elegant, and minimalist. What resulted from this endeavor was a “post-opulent” design that is aimed toward younger, affluent, and subversive customers who yearn for a purer, less superfluous design without conceding performance or technological capabilities. To achieve the ultra-pure black finish, Rolls-Royce atomized and applied 100 pounds of paint to an electrostatic-charged car body before drying in an oven and being hand-polished by a four-man team. The exterior also features the genuine Black Badge-themed alloy wheels with carbon fiber barrels. Inside, the Black Badge Ghost builds upon the pure black theme with suave Turchese Leather seats that feature a Technical Carbon veneer. Performance-wise, the Black Badge Ghost comes with a 6.75L V12 engine that has an increased power and torque output of roughly 592 hp and 664 lb-ft, respectively. Moreover, the Black Badge Ghost’s drivetrain and chassis have been re-engineered to augment its performance and handling.

If the bespoke exterior and augmented performance capabilities don’t sell you on the Black Badge Ghost, then perhaps its aerospace-grade aluminum lid on its champagne cooler will. The Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost is now available for purchase — at an unlisted price — through Rolls-Royce dealers.
