Corfu (Kadounia) – the Venetian masterpiece

Corfu, once a seat of the British High Commissioner during the colonial era, and the biggest of the islands is really beautiful. The town of Corfu offers the best of colonial history, Venetian architecture homes, pristine beaches, old world castles, and colourful alleys with well preserved traditional details dotting the northern side of the island.

You will find the island filled with holiday crowds enjoying singing, musical festivals and art and cultural events. Around Easter in April is the ideal time to visit. If you come to Korfu by boat you arrive at Mandraki, a lovely yacht harbor, overlooked by huge medievl castle walls.
